PRIVACY NOTICE
As members will be aware the Data Protection Act 1998 was replaced in May 2018 by the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR.) This means that if a Club collects or shares information the GDPR will govern how this personal data is used and will increase the protection of individual’s privacy.
In order to ensure that Lenzie Tennis Club is compliant with GDPR, the club confirms that the personal information of members held is used solely for club business.
The members’ personal information held by Lenzie Tennis Club has been provided by you on your application/renewal form and consists of some or all of :
Name
Address
Email Address
Home and Mobile Telephone Numbers
Date of Birth of members under 18 years of age.
We may also hold data about health or medical conditions, where you have volunteered this information about yourself or another member of your family, in order that tis is available, for example during coaching sessions, tournaments and matches.
We hold information about you on a legitimate interest basis so that we can communicate with you e.g. by post, telephone, email to keep you informed of club news, coaching, club developments, membership renewals, general information etc.
You can object to the club using your personal information for these purposes but if we comply with your objection this may affect our ability to keep you informed, and could prevent you from playing in matches, tournaments, club championships etc. If you wish to object to any of the above processing please email (email currently being set up).
We have a statutory duty to inform members of annual meetings and special meetings of the club.
We will keep your information for as long as necessary to provide you with membership services. Unless you ask us not to, we will review and possibly delete your personal information where you have not renewed your membership or been in contact with the club for 6 years.
