Alison Skipp

Alison is our Level 3 Head Coach. She played to a high level as a junior on the European Circuit and turned to coaching in her late teens. She has been coaching all ages and abilities for the past 10 years.

Her aim is for everyone to have fun and learn something new at every session.

You can normally hear her before you see her!

John Kiernan

John is a Level 2 coach. He is a Stirling University Sport Studies graduate and played at a high level within BUCS University team tennis for Stirling.  He turned to coaching in his late teens and has 8 years of experience of coaching all ages and abilities. Previously he has coached at holiday resort sites all over Europe.  

His aim is for everyone to have fun during his sessions and to help players develop their tennis skills whether they are playing socially or competitively.

Fraser Joss

Fraser currently holds his level 2 coaching qualification and has been a member of the tennis club for over 10 years.  He has been a regular player for the men’s first team and now holds the role of team captain. 

Fraser has also been a successful player in our club championships as well as winning the West of Scotland Doubles Shield in 2019 and the TS300 singles in the same year.

He enjoys coaching all ages and abilities and has the primary desire of getting as many players involved in competitive match play.

Dave Skipp

Alison’s partner Dave has assisted for many years. He is now qualified Level 2. He is an asset to the coaching team and helps across the programme. He is cool, calm & collected. 

Dave also has a great singing voice so you might hear him on the karaoke soon!
